Welcome to The Better Adult Project.
So, you’re an adult. Gone are the days of gold stars and pocket money.

Don’t worry, it’s not all bad news.
There’s awesome things about being an adult – drinking coffee and not having to ask permission from your mum before going out are two things that come to mind.
But there’s also many challenges.
The Better Adult Project exists to share insights (in short videos) into life as a human adult, honest observations and tips on how to overcome everyday life struggles.
I hope the videos are helpful to your life. And if nothing else, let this project be a kind reminder that you’re not alone in your struggle to be a functioning adult.
Who runs the show?
Here’s an oversized photo of me.
I’m Christel, adult and creator of this project.
I live in Wellington, New Zealand, the world’s most ‘liveable’ city, according to the Internet.
How would I describe myself? To quote a contestant from my all-time favourite show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, “Neat, petite and ready to eat.” Brunch is the best meal, ever.
I created The Better Adult Project because I had a lot of questions about myself and life. This is my creative attempt at trying to answer them.
I also spend time working as the marketing and fundraising manager at Kaibosh Food Rescue, and creating explainer animation videos as a freelancer.
