It’s so easy to have no idea where your money is going! I am super guilty of this.
Recently I listened to a live master class on how to spend your money on things that bring you happiness. The class was by Sarah Von Bargen, creator of the amazing blog Yes and Yes (because yes is more fun than no) and one of my fav bloggers.
Sarah shared some awesome tips and I was inspired to make a video based on her tips. Continue reading
Sometimes people say nasty comments. Generally these comments say more about the person delivering them, than about the person on the receiving end. As the saying goes, hurt people, hurt people.
There have been times throughout my life when people have said nasty things to me and their comments have played on repeat in my mind.
I decided to ask Gandhi for his advice on this topic. Continue reading
Opinions – everyone has one, or many.
It’s easy to take the opinions of others on board without questioning them. Often in my life people have shared their views with me and I’ve taken them as gospel. And their advice hasn’t always led me to great places.
In this video I share two things I’ve learned about people’s opinions. Continue reading
“The most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Do a huge volume of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week or every month you know you’re going to finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that … the work you’re making will be as good as your ambitions.” – Ira Glass
Recently I came across this awesome blog post by writer and researcher James Clear. In it James shares some awesome tips for how to do your best work. The inner critic can be a real downer and knows exactly how to make you feel super awesome about yourself.

During the workshop I discovered (or was reminded) of a few important facts about the inner critic, and how to overcome the little devil. Continue reading

“What do sad people have in common?
It seems they have all built a shrine to the past
And often go there and do a strange wail and worship.
What is the beginning of happiness?
It is to stop
Being so religious
This is one of my favourite poems, because it truly paints a picture of the sadness that is created by holding on to past, painful moments.

Are you always waiting for the next best thing to come along?
Recently it was my birthday. I turned 28 on the 29th of February. Yes, I’m a leap baby! I have to wait another four years for my next birthday to come around. Technically I’m seven years old.
A friend gave me an awesome book as a present. It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be by Paul Arden is a guide to making the most of yourself. In the book it talks about taking advantage of the opportunity in your hand, instead of always waiting for the “perfect” opportunity to come along.
This point got me thinking and so I decided to create a video about it. Continue reading
